Global demand for always available, high bandwidth network infrastructure continues to grow, fueled by the ongoing adoption of cloud services, rich media, and the expansion of generative AI. Arista is ready to meet that need with the next-generation R4 product family, offering a broad range of platforms with port speeds up to 3.2 Tbps, and anchored by our flagship EOSⓇ (Extensible Operating System) for intelligent service routing, multi-tenancy, congestion avoidance, and fine-grained observability. The new 7800R4, 7280R4, and 7020R4 platforms deliver integrated multi-layer, quantum-safe encryption and hierarchical, hybrid packet buffering to support secure, lossless AI and data center workloads.

The R4 family delivers an optimized solution for data center interconnect, with HyperPort as the first 3.2 Tbps clear channel Ethernet solution to improve network efficiency for distributed workloads, including “scale-across” AI clusters. Building on the flexible EOS software foundation and deep buffering, HyperPort delivers up to 44% faster job completion time (JCT) for high-bandwidth AI flows via a single high-speed port, compared to alternate solutions that load-balance traffic across multiple 800 Gbps ports.

Arista combines high speed with high capacity in the R4 portfolio, delivering maximum port density and performance for the most demanding AI clusters in efficient two-tier leaf-and-spine network architectures. This provides significant opex and capex savings by avoiding the need for costly three-tier architectures, eliminating excess networking devices, optics, cables, rack space, and power consumption. The R4 family platforms scale up to 128 x 3.2Tbps HyperPorts and up to 576 ports of 800GbE in a single system, with low power consumption and integrated security on every port.
Finally, and perhaps most critically, the Arista R4 family delivers choice. Customers can choose between fixed and modular platforms, offering a range of port speeds, density options, and platform interfaces and form factors. Arista also enables open, accelerator-agnostic AI / DC networking, allowing customers to deploy best-in-class compute and storage solutions from any XPU vendor, optimizing performance, cost, density, and power consumption for both scale-out and scale-across AI networking.
